The week of May 29 to June 5, 2022 is dedicated to bees. Because bees are important – both for nature and for us. Because bees pollinate the agricultural crops and fruit cultivation that we live on. Why does that require roses? Simple: bees need nectar (read: sugar) to be able to zoom from pillar to post and nesting sites to survive. And bee-friendly roses ensure that.

During Bee Week, plant Bee Gold, Mel Bee and Bee Proud in your front, back or balcony garden, your street or garden centre, or break open a section of your terrace and create a real bee oasis with roses, hollow stems and bee hotels.

And is there a rose in your first or last name? (Think Roos, Rosalie, Rosanne, Deroose, Roossens …) Then register before May 9 for an exclusive rose party in the rose garden of the Botanical Garden of Meise, which will take place on Saturday May 28 from 11:30 to 14:30. The first hundred candidates have a chance to win: two VIP tickets for the party with reception, lunch, photo opportunity, workshops, a free visit to the Botanical Garden of Meise, a bee-friendly rose and an exclusive souvenir by artist Jana … Roos. Who else?
