A striking cultivar among the ornamental apple trees is the columnar Malus Red Obelisk. This ornamental apple tree surprises all year round. In spring, Malus Red Obelisk charms with its lush, very large, pink blossoms and the red-coloured budding leaves. In autumn, you enjoy the masses of red fruits, which stay on the tree long into winter. Of course, you can pick them and use them as decorations in your home or in a flower arrangement. This columnar tree does not grow taller than 6m and stays about 2m narrow.
