Escallonia Trulli
Escallonia ‘ILVOTRUL’ Trulli® is a medium-sized, bushy shrub that grows about 100cm tall and largely retains its oval, deep green and glossy leaves through winter. Its pure white flowers bloom in abundance from June to early August and attract plenty of pollinators such as bees and bumblebees. With its rich blooms and wide, full growth habit, this Escallonia is a real eye-catcher in the garden.

Maintenance
Escallonias prefer well-drained, light soil in a warm and sunny spot in the garden. A spot in partial shade is also fine. The plant grows best in neutral to slightly acidic soil, but avoid soil that is too chalky. Is your Escallonia in poorer soil? Then we recommend fertilizing it in the spring with organic or artificial fertilizer specifically for flowering plants. The Escallonia Trulli® is very winter-hardy. In the first few years, the shrub can be pruned back to a third of its height in early April, so that you get a nice dense shrub or hedge. The plant tolerates pruning well, so you can choose whether you want a taller or compact shape.
